In connection with its service, Nitra Metropolitan Police is divided into two integrated districts.
41 policemen work in the Town District. There are a chief of a district, a deputy commander, 4 policemen at a command centre and 35 policemen on duty.

The Town District policemen are responsible for service mainly in the Old Town, Chrenová housing estate, the whole region of Zobor and Janíkovce and Dražovce, the suburbs.

According to various initiatives, a branch office has been established in the Town District, at Chrenová, in Lipa, a shopping centre. It has been established in order to approach to citizens of that part of the town. Every Wednesday from 16.00 h to 18.00 h police officers are present there. They can help with complaints, announcements and suggestions from citizens. Coming the other day, a citizen can put his/her questions into a box placed there. At the entrance of the building there is an information board which informs people of actualities of the town police work.

We hope that by establishing this branch office, a closer relationship between the police and the citizens would be created together with a higher security and confidence in police officers.In Klokočina District, 18 policemen are divided into a chief of the district and 17 policemen in duty. Nowadays one police-woman is taking a maternity leave. Police officers from Klokočina District serve particularly in region of Klokočina housing estate, Mlynárce suburb, Horné and Dolné Krškany, Kynek and Párovské Háje. A railroad becomes a natural border between particular districts, except Mlynárce, Horné and Dolné Krškany suburbs situated in the East, a part of  Klokočina District.

For the same purpose as at Chrenová, another branch has been established in cooperation with Mrs. Palkova, a member of parliament, in Dolné Krškany. Every Wednesday from 16.00 h to 18.00 h citizens can address their complaints and suggestions to the town police officers in a court room of the Cultural House in Dolné Krškany. They can also gain information of town police work.

We decided to establish this branch because of inadaptable citizens, mainly those who refuse to pay a rent, being placed in Orechov dvor locality and in a lodging house near the cold stores. We hope this could improve the relationship between policemen and citizens and help especially the old ones that do not have to travel to town by bus.
